Pizza Village: Ottawa, KS

Year:

1928

Aside from its historic courthouse and rail depot, it seems like the only thing in Ottawa to stand the test of time is Pizza Village. Established in 1965 by 24-year-old Joe Seyler, a recent graduate of the University of Kansas, the pizza parlor has occupied its 1928 storefront ever since. According to its own estimations, Pizza Village purports to have “The best pizza in town—any town.” Ottawa retains much of its 19th-century downtown. In addition to its University, floods, and pizza, Ottawa is known for its antique stores which line the town’s historic Main Street.
